The Touchet Educational Foundation (TEF) was officially formed as a non-profit 501c(3) organization in February 2003. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the Board consists of eight representatives from agriculture, local businesses and alumni. The Board members donate hundreds of hours each year to provide leadership in achieving their mission.
Our Mission: To Provide Financial support for Touchet Students in pursuit of educational opportunities, and to encourage community support for higher education.
President, Dave Reppe
Dave was born and raised in Klamath Falls, OR. He graduated from Oregon State University with a B.S. in Agricultural Economics. He and his wife Sandy raised two sons that graduated from Touchet High School, Doug in '86 and Darin in '92. Dave develops and distributes the scholarship applications.
Vice President, Doug Loney
Doug is a Touchet High School class of '80 and '86 graduate of Eastern Washington University. He and his wife Roberts are raising two future Touchet High School grads, Ian in '11 and McKenzie in '14. Doug coordinates the recruitment and engagement of the Student Representatives.
Secretary, Carol Hopkins
Carol (Riley) Hopkins Touchet High School class of '87, graduated from University of Washington with a B.A. in Business Administration. She, husband Chris and their sons Nickolas and Nathan returned to the Walla Walla Valley in 2000. Carol has volunteered as the Secretary since 2003.
Tresurer, Julie McCubbins
Julie was born and raised in Walla Walla. She graduated from Walla Walla Community College in '82. Julie is married to Michael McCubbins (THS class of '81). Along with their daughter Cassie (THS class of '08) they live and farm in Gardena. Julie coordinates the OWendi Kreggerktoberfiesta auctions.
Sharla Wagoner
Sharla graduated from Washington State University in '77. She and husband Mark (THS class of '71) own and operate an alfalfa seed farm south of Touchet. They have three grown children (all THS graduates), Shayna, Timothy and Alyssa. Serving as the TEF President for the past four years she is now the Graduation Coordinator and Record Keeper.
Wendi Kregger
Wendi was born and raised near San Francisco, CA. She graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obisbo, CA with a B.A. in Agricultural Business. Wendi is married to Ryan Kregger (THS class of '92). They live in Touchet where they work on a multi generation farm with their two sons. Wendi volunteers coordinating donor agreements and assists with fundraising.
Kristi Scherger
Kristi was born and raised in Bellevue, WA. She graduated in '87 from Washington State University with a B.A. in Fine Arts. She is married to Jay Scherger and they have one daughter, Macyn. Together they own and operate Pheasant Creek Golf Course in Touchet. Kristi volunteers creating the Tribal Times newsletter and updates the TEF website.
